Julia isn't excited about Joel's plan to return to work. A neighbor of the Luncheonette complains to Crosby about their clients taking up parking spaces and making noise.

Amber becomes increasing worried about Ryan's depression. S4, Ep Sarah deepens her involvement with Hank, further straining her relationship with Mark. Julia experiments with new techniques to alleviate Victor's frustration with school. Meanwhile, Amber helps Ryan secure a job working on Joel's construction crew.

Christmas with the Bravermans brings the family closer together. Jasmine and Crosby contemplate the future of their family as they welcome a new roommate. Kristina and Adam go on a much needed date night after she makes a drastic change to her appearance. Drew and Amy receive overwhelming news. Adam and Kristina help Max adjust to teenage life. Meanwhile, Victor presents new challenges for Julia and Joel. Julia and Joel struggle with a difficult decision involving Victor.
